I went to account page and saw that my account is not verified, so I uploaded some documents for account verification and a couple days after I tried to withdraw money but my account was not verified although more then 3 days passed since I uploaded documents (at unibet site it says that documents are reviewed and account verified in 3 days maximum). THEN AGONY STARTS I was asked to send some more documents because something was unclear or couldnt be seen. So I sent it again (photo of my ID, Drivers licence, Phone bill and utility bill) and 2 days after, when I tried to log in to my account it said that account is unavailable. I got no mail or any info, so I was confused and went to live chat when a guy from customer service told me that my account is blocked because Account department have taken a look at my documents and they are absolutely not confident with my documents and account in general and that my account will remain blocked and funds frozen. [B]When I asked why, he said that they dont need to provide that information, that Unibet can close an existing account without any explanation whatsoever, and that there is nothing I can do and the account will remain closed and funds frozen forever[/B] (see photos of that chat below). After that I sent mail to unibet asking for an explanation and got this answer: "Dear Marko, Thank you for contacting Unibet!
We regret to inform you that our Player Safety Department's decision is irrevocable. Your account will remain closed and the funds frozen.

They never told me what is the problem and how I could solve it so I sent one more mail asking what is happening and offering to provide any proof necessary and saying I will have to start posting on poker forums about this. 5 days after, I still didnt get response and my account is still blocked and funds frozen.
I want to say that all the documents I sent were the same I sent to 5 other poker rooms and neteller and they all verified my account without any problem. Only thing that could be problem is that some documents are in cyrilic font i.e. (its my contry letter) and utility bill holder names are my parents because I live in their flat but they have the same last name as I do (unibet doesnt offer to leave a comment when you upload documents so I couldnt explain that), but I sent phone bill with my name in latin font.
I still have no clue what is happening and why my account is blocked and money frozen, since I did nothing wrong. I cant believe they gave me no information or asked for some other documents or something else that could clear the problems they have with my documents. I played online poker for more then 10 years at more than 20 poker rooms and never had a single problem, so this is really frustrating me. I strongly recommend not to play on Unibet because you never know if they are going to close your account (even if you verified it) because they seem to have right according to their T&C.
Please help, I am frustrated both by the fact that my account is blocked with my money on it and the way they are handling this problem (arrogant way, not answering mails, not providing any info about problem, saying they can do whatever they want without any explanation and there is nothing I can do)

This is an ongoing investigation (by private investigators) so I will start with the most important information about Jon as an appeal to anyone who has any information on his disappearance.

At the time of his disappearance Jon was wearing black jeans, a black padded jacket, a black T-shirt with a printed white letters and picture on the front, and black sneakers with a white base.
The disappearance
Jon arrived to Dublin, Republic of Ireland on 8th February, 2019 with plans on joining a poker tournament over the weekend and spending the rest of his time holidaying in the country (Independent.ie, 2020). Based on information provided by his family, Jon arrived to the country on his own, checked into the Bonnington Hotel (Whitehall, North Dublin) that hosted the tournament and played poker through the night on the day of his arrival. His fiancé, Jana, arrived to Ireland the following morning (9/02/19) and found Jon in his hotel room’ sleeping, at around 10 AM. After a brief conversation Jana decided to go downstairs to get a coffee. While doing so Jon suddenly left the hotel at around 11.05 AM. Although the reason of him leaving has never been cleared, it is for certain that he left most of his belongings including his phone, passport and wallet behind, having only his hotel room key card in his possession. Despite this fact, his family speculates that he might have had a large amount of cash on him, although this has never been confirmed. After leaving the hotel, Jon was seen on CCTV at 11.07 AM passing a bar and a nursing home before exiting onto Swords Road heading towards Collins Avenue. He was last seen walking past the entrance of Highfield Healthcare Centre.
After her fiancé not returning all day, Jana grew increasingly worried and reported Jon missing to the Gardaí on 10th February, 2019. Members of Jon’s family flew over from Iceland right away and an extended search was carried out by them, civils, Gardaí and the Civil Defence, but they found no trace or lead to what could have happened to Jon.
His family has never given up hope on finding him and after the immediate searches have led them to no information, the family hired an Irish private investigator, Liam Brady, to continue to work on the case. According to the latest updates published shortly after the first anniversary of Jon’s disappearance, it is understood that “Mr Brady and a colleague are now working on a lead involving someone who is currently incarcerated in a European prison and it is believed this person may have some ‘key information’ which could point the investigation in the right direction” (Irish Independent, 2020). There has been no further information elaborating on this lead or any other updates.
Further information:

• This was the first time Jon visited Ireland and had no acquaintances, friends or family in the country.
• According to his family Jon lost about €4000 during the night of playing poker which has played a major part in people’s theories about this case, however it has never been confirmed officially that it had anything to do with his disappearance. In an interview Jon’s sister also assumed that he might have won some money too, but she didn’t elaborate and this has never been confirmed either.
• Jon, who worked as a taxi driver in Iceland, had recently renewed his license and had ‘family arrangements’ for the near future – his family described his disappearance as ‘completely out of character’.
• Jon’s brother who gave a number of interviews to Irish media described him as a ‘nice, caring, reliable and stable’ guy who was healthy and fit both physically and mentally and had no history of making ‘reckless’ decisions or wanting to escape his life. His brother also added that they had a very close relationship and Jon was very open about his finances - if he was in need of money he could have asked for help from any member of his family.
• On the CCTV footage leaving the hotel and walking away, Jon appears to be calm and lights up a cigarette, walking casually as if on a stroll for some fresh air.
• During the investigation carried out straight after his disappearance, Gardaí received many calls regarding sightings of Jon, however he was never officially traced further than Swords Road.

Theories/Personal Opinion:
As mentioned above most theories argue that Jon must have met someone on the night of playing poker, someone spotted him being a foreigner seemingly on his own with a large amount of cash or his disappearance was somehow the result of him losing a lot of money the night before. Even though these theories seem plausible and not at all far-fetched, there are a few factors contradicting these arguments. While it isn’t unlikely that Jon (as the latest updates also indicate) was met with foul play due to the circumstances, I, personally, highly doubt that he was the only foreigner with a lot of cash on him participating on this tournament. Although, I don’t have much information on how secure the hotel or the event was, the advertisement to the festival seems valid and appears to be a professionally organized tournament with a detailed schedule and many ‘games’ going on at once during the weekend. At first it did not strike me as an event where something ‘suspicious’ could happen – but it could be just the fact that I am a very naïve resident of Dublin who hasn’t encountered anything of the sort.
On this point, I don't know how 'dangerous' this neighborhood could be as I am not particularly familiar with Whitehall myself. At a first glance it appears to be a very ‘average’ suburban area with a good few schools, sports fields, bars, shops and housing estates around (fellow Dubliners if you beg to differ, don’t hesitate), not to mention that he disappeared around midday on a Saturday with a lot of pedestrians and traffic in the area. This was also what gave great hope to his loved ones, assuming that many people must have passed by Jon on the street and whatever happened, there has to be eyewitnesses out there.
Another point why an ‘impulsive’ attack seems a bit unlikely to me is the obvious lack of evidence – no crime scene was ever established and no solid proof has ever been recovered that could have traced Jon to any location in the area. If it was foul play, as latest updates indicate, the culprits took great care of making Jon and the crime ‘untraceable' - and invisible to an extent. I also struggle to build a clear connection between his disappearance and his attendance on the poker tournament.
Theories further discuss possibilities such as Jon being invited to an ‘underground’ poker game where he was met with the ‘wrong crowd’, however it wouldn’t explain his sudden departure from the hotel without saying anything to his fiancé. If he planned to play poker somewhere else, he must have assumed he wouldn’t be back before his fiancé returned from the hotel lobby and notice that he was gone. Taking all these bits and pieces into consideration, the case remains a tragic, unsolved mystery. I sincerely hope that the latest lead disclosed by the private investigator will bring about an explanation and that his family will find closure and peace.

In fact as of Feb 14th, the most recent 100 "comment replies" the word 'thank" has been uttered 13 times in direct response to my posts. Since 2006 when we opened my website, we have had TWO poker sites fail that we promoted. Full Flush, and PokesPoker. They are separated in failure by 10 years. There were over 70 poker sites that failed during that time period. I think we have a good record for keeping our players away from crappy and terribly unsafe poker sites.
 
The Wiki [Editor's Note: This was part of a prior letter I wrote and wish to include it here as well]
 
Nearly 9 months ago when all of the controversy about the wiki was going on and right after TOR became a moderator, the decision was made to make the wiki only modifiable by moderators. I understand conflict of interest was the main rationale. I was also told that:
"Mods believe they have the time to use the wiki in a better way than it is being used right now."
 
This has proved utterly false. When I was editing the wiki (and I was the main editor for a year or so), I updated it 1-4 times per month as needed. In the nearly 8 months since the wiki was taken over by moderators, it has been edited two times. The first was to remove "affiliate influence and bias." The second was done less than a month ago to update Bovada to Ignition poker, a major event which had taken place a full 3 months prior to the edit).
 
In taking a quick glance over the wiki I saw over a dozen things that need to be updated. However, this is not being done. Mods are not keeping the wiki up to date and it is providing false and out of date information to readers of /poker.
 
I was also told that:
 
"Mods believe they can source discounts themselves, and due to non expectation of benefit for them sourcing it can get better deals than affiliates can."
 
This has also not happened. Not a single deal has been sourced. In fact, things are worse. A deal that gave out thousands of free dollars to poker subscribers was scrapped and never replaced. I fail to see the benefit to the forum in removing free money for subscribers. Other moderators agreed with me and wanted to keep the program live, but were seemingly overruled.
 
I will admit that I was not perfect and that some things could have been handled differently in the wiki, but in the last year I edited the Wiki and the FAQ, after ground rules were set, I always sought moderator approval for changes I thought might be controversial (DaLonelyBaptist/ can confirm this). I also strived to keep the Wiki as up to date as my time would allow, which turns out to be at least 15x more frequently than it is currently being updated.
 
I believe that much of this stems from Touch_Of_Red 's dislike for me. I think he seeks to punish me, "the evil spammer," for some perceived harm he has suffered. I do not think I am what he claims me to be. I constantly help players with issues on this forum, 2+2, CardsChat, and other smaller forums. I receive thanks quite often and I have NEVER been banned from any forum for spamming because I adhere to the stated rules of all forums I participate in.
 
I do not think it is fair to reduce knowledge and opportunity for /poker subscribers simply to punish me because TOR doesn't care for me. I think that if the Wiki rules were reset to what they were prior to TOR becoming a mod, that I could do an even better job of updating the wiki than before. In fact, I've learned a little bit of reddit coding and I feel that I can improve the format of the wiki as well as keeping it up to date, useful, and providing added value to the subscribers of poker.

I loved Unibet Poker and did everything to support them, played their live events, subscriber on twitch, active member on the community. Made some great friends and contacts. Great poker room but they closed my account and froze my funds without justifiable cause.
I posted on the community site about my poker adventure of heading to Europe from Canada on a one way trip and they took it as irresponsible gambling. However I did not post anything about irresponsible gambling, I only played poker and never gambled irresponsibly on Unibet. I never typed any mean posts, all I did was post my vacation story on the community forum. Somehow they are authorized to freeze my Unibet gambling account and all my funds. When given a reason, check this yourself in terms and conditions. 3.21 Unibet has the right to close an account without explanation. They sent that to me as the reason that all my funds, so much I've invested in that site including having a Custom Avatar and my account was closed.
Genuine injustice and the bottom line is stay away from that site, who knows why your account will be closed and all your money taken from you. Pretty much anyone who is even remotely interested in poker and has the kind of money necessary to participate in the World Series of Poker is waiting for this tournament. Among those who have a tradition in participating at the Las Vegas event is Jeff Madsen, who rarely misses the main event and he is equally active in side tournaments. In order to make sure that he will play at full potential when the big games begin, he chose to participate in the HPT Californian State Poker Championship. This competition was hosted at the Commerce Casino in the state of California, where 584 players found the resources to spend $1650 to participate in the main event. The prize pool revolved around $900,000 and Jeff won the biggest amount, a cool $160k. It was a struggle for him from start to finish, as he lost big hands despite starting with the better hand, but all is well that ends well. A couple of players who made a deep run in the tournament didn't even pay the buy-in for the HPT Californian State Poker Championship. They chose the other way of participating, by spending a lot of time playing Unibet Poker qualifiers. These satellites were organized every week by the aforesaid poker room and the most successful players were granted a seat at the main event. They gave Jeff Madsen a run for his money and twice he came painfully close of suffering an untimely elimination. In fact, Jeff barely made the final table and nobody gave him much of a chance due to the fact that he had the shortest stack. With nothing left to lose, he shifted into a more aggressive gear and took all the coin flips he could, which eventually paid off for the poker player. He won twice with AK over pocket pairs and doubled up, to make the heads up with more chips than his opponent. At this point, it was clear for Alex Greenblatt that he was the underdog, as he had fewer chips and was certainly the less experienced player. 14 hands later, Jeff Madsen won it all and added another trophy to his belt, while these eight players shared in his glory: 1. Hey guys, I am planning on playing online poker in Belgium. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with it and could perhaps recommend a good website? I checked the Gaming Commission website and apparently the choices are Golden Palace, Bwin, Unibet, Ladbrokes or Pokerstars.

I used to play DoN on Winamax but after a law change, we can only play a few rooms in belgium:

• Bwin
• Ladbrokes
• Unibet Poker
• Golden Palace
• Pokerstars

I know a variant (fifty50) exist on Pokerstars but it's not exactly a DON (1st to 5th get 10% of the prize pool + a small amount per 100 chips, whereas with a DON 1st to 5th get 20% of the prize pool).
Anyone playing (and enjoying) Double Or Nothing on any of the room above?
