Having personally been a fan of Casino Versus Japan’s music over the past decade, I arranged a Skype call with him to discuss how Frozen Geometry came into existence. Our conversation went much further that I anticipated and over the period of an hour we dissected his musical heritage, influential musicians, production methods and a lot more. Frozen Geometry emerged from years of sketching new textures on guitar, which were layered and looped into immersive capsules of harmony and drift. It's an intriguing opus of hypnotic beauty and peripheral consciousness. The original intention was to use them as melodic foundations for future compositions but then he "became aware of them existing on their own."
